Success! Our March 2021 Beach Clean & Food Drive

Thank you to all the volunteers who picked up more than 400 pounds of trash and donated approximately $1200 worth of food for San Diego Food Bank. It was wonderful to see so many high school students, Girl Scout Troops, and residents lending a hand. We appreciate all of you! And a HUGE thank you to KUSI News 10News – ABC San Diego KGTV and CBS 8 - San Diego News for running our story.

Last year one resident Cathy Ives collected nearly 120,000 individual pieces of trash last year. She uses the Ocean Conservancy list to track each item. We estimate that our street stewards (there are 6 who clean up day to day) picked up more than 6 tons of trash in 2020.
